Thoughtful Thursday WLS Express

GOOD MORNING! Its Friday eve! So, what was something someone did for you this week that was thoughtful? What did you do that was thoughtful?

Day 2 of my sinus headache. I ended up sleeping all night in the recliner because I couldn't lay down. It came on yesterday morning and then got progressively worse throughout the day. Ended up puking even-so so nautious the rest of the night. I'm hoping that a long hot shower will help. I've tried all medications that I can think of. Today Chris has an appt in Dallas so I'm only working 1/2 day as it is. I'm tempted to stay home though due to the headache.

Liz-hope you are feeling better and in less pain today. Sherry-prayers continue for John's mom. Meggie-how are you feeling- headache all gone? I hope so.

Good Morning Alissa & TMB!

I don't know if I would call it thoughful but I have been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity participating in the Lowe's Women Build Week.   The first HFH home is being built in our community and happens to fall within my city council district.  It has been soooo much fun and a learning experience as well.  I think I know what I want for Mother's Day or Christmas... A NAIL GUN....LOL!!!! I do have a whole new respect for people who have to perform manual labor.  I just found muscles that I did not know I had and really let's me know that I need to get in better shape.

Faith-I was just thinking about you this morning-wondering how you were doing. Congrats on the volunteering with Habitat. How neat!

Hello Faith

Congratulations on your work with Habitat.  I think we all should do something like that.  It sure helps teach you to be glad for what you have.  I have said for three years that I was going to volunteer at a shelter for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas with my son to show him how to give.  We never do it though.

I like your new avatar.  You are looking good.

Alissa, I hope you get to feeling better.  I think there is something in the air.  I know a lot of us that have been having migraines lately. 

Michelle, it is nice to hear from you.  I am still holding your and your family in my prayers.  Please know that you are missed here as well.

Good Morning Alissa!

WOO.....  Well, okay, my hip hurts like h-e-double-hockey-sticks because I apparently slept on it the wrong way all night long.... but other than that it's a WOOOOOHOOO Thursday, LOL What did someone do for me that was thoughtful?  My DH does so many/much it's hard to say, he cooked supper, tucked me into bed, scratched my back when I didn't ask... What did I do, in a round about way I gently reminded him & my DQS that Mother's day is Sunday.... so you could say I thoughtfully saved them some heavy duty grief and last minute scrambling.... LOL  I have a friend whose hubby has a whole weekend of yard work/laying paving stones and everything planned out, for his sake I hope it's all just a ploy to keep her from finding out what he's really got planned... LOL 

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

Good Morning Alissa and the rest of TMB Family,

Boyt it fees good to be back here.  I have had limited internet access and pretty busy with Mom.  They are messing with her medication yet again.  I know they need to, to get it right for her.  I am doing my best to get out of the house at least once a week for a couple of hours.  It's not easy but I always feel better when I do it.  We are heading out this morning for an MRI of the brain.  Would rather be safe then sorry.  I am missing Texas big time these days.  Wish I could just snap my fingers and be with all of you.  I am trying to take care of myself but am not eating very well.  People are bringing food galore as thats what people tend to do when you have someone sick.  Lots of soups, and stews.  Not real healthy!  Oh well.  Time to get my shower and then get Mom up so we can go to the hospital for an MRI of the brain.  SHould be farely easy!  Prayers this morning for all in need.  Please continue to pray for Mom and the rest of my family.  Love and miss you guys lots.  Michelle

 Hey You Guys!

What a pretty day! I love this weather! We may have to do speech therapy outdoors today.

Alissa- it is teacher appreciation week, so Monday we were treated to a snack, Tuesday we got a cute picture frame, Wednesday we had lunch catered to us by the PTO and this morning they made us breakfast. Dirk is taking the Expedition in to get a few things checked out and then coming home at lunch. He is making sure that he gets off work in time to take me to my staff appreciation banquet and Chase's graduation tonite. Last night he cleaned out the truck so that Kaylee and I would have a clean ride and then he transferred all of my stuff from the expedition to the truck. As for me... let's see..I bought the kids some clothes on Monday, have made dinner every day this week, took Kaylee to WalMart for her vegetarian menu and then to the new frozen yogurt place so we could talk about "Kaylee stuff". 

Gotta get to work!!

Yes- I do things individually with all the kids. It's good to have one-on-one with them.
We are supposed to go to the horse sale in Stephenville Friday night. We are taking the horse trailer with us in case we buy something. Registered horses come through last so we may be there a while. Afterwards instead of coming home we are supposed to go to the lake and stay there for the night. If this happens I won't make R-n-S, but if we don't go, or if we do end up heading home then I will try to go.
